On March 9^th the prestigious Tiffany & Company hosted,

Breakfast at Tiffany’s, A Wedding Event

 

Uncommon Invites sent customs invitations for this private wedding affair that was held at Tiffany & Co. downtown Portland.   Hitched Weddings & Events was honored to work with the staff at Tiffany & Co in coordinating this one of a kind wedding event.  Brides, Grooms, and their quests sipped mimosas supplied by wine boutique Vino100 and eat delectables provided by Viola Catering as they watched the only couture bridal fashion show in Oregon presented by Divine Designs Bridal Boutique.  The exquisite gowns by designers, Monique Lhuillier, Vera Wang, and Rivini were paired with stunning Tiffany jewelry including a tiara flown in from Tiffany’s in NYC!  The fashion show also featured fun and comfortable bridal activewear presented by The Wedding Cottage that Tiffany & Co. paired with their casual signature pieces which are perfect for bridesmaid gifts!  A Formal Affair Tuxedo showcased the best in tuxedo designs for the show and Francoise Weeks Floral Design dreamed up the most unique flower bouquets for each gown.  The models bridal hair up-dos were inspired by Audrey Hepburn and artistically done by Boucle Hair which provides on site special occasion hair services.  To complete each look, the models flawless makeup was applied by Event Cosmetics who provide a variety of packages for special event cosmetic applications, including a personal makeup artist for your whole wedding day!  The MC for the show was Eric Wright who is the velvet voice behind the award winning All Wright Music.   In between the fashion shows, attendees were surrounded by wedding reception florals constructed by Francoise Weeks.  Guests were able to meet with Portland’s top wedding professionals, including Hybrid Moon Video Productions, Holland Studios, JaCiva’s, The Party Place, Uncommon Invites, Vino100, Event Cosmetics, Boucle Hair, A Formal Affair Tuxedo, All Wright Music, Divine Designs, Francoise Weeks Floral Designs, The Wedding Cottage, Voila Catering, Bravo!, and Hitched Weddings & Events.   Take a look at some of the photos from the event taken by the popular photographers of Holland Studios.

Flower of the Month-March

Our monthly flower happens to be the official flower of March, tulips!   The meaning of tulips is perfect love, which is a wonderful choice for a wedding flower.  There are a wide range of tulip varieties and colors available which help tie in your chosen wedding colors.  Like many other flowers that come in different colors, the colors also have meaning.  Yellow tulips for example originally represented hopeless love while white tulips were used to send a message of forgiveness.

Planning A Spring Wedding?

Oh Spring is delightful!  For Oregonians Spring means that sunshine is soon approaching us.  

Spring is a time of rebirth and renewal which is a perfect theme for a wedding!  One fabulous thing about planning a Spring wedding is that if falls short of the popularity of the summer and autumn wedding dates. Great news for the Spring Bride & Grooms as more top-notch vendors will be available, and you may be able to get discounted rates, especially on sites and travel.  There is also school Spring Breaks which allow for out of town guests to travel to your wedding that otherwise may not have been able to attend. Keep in mind when planning events in Spring that high school PROMS can really compete with tux rentals and limousines, so book those early in the process.   Don’t forget the importance of “The Back-up Plan” as they are essential for Oregon Spring weddings as our weather is always unpredictable.  You know who is great with a Plan B…? For the past 10 years, Jessica has been shooting weddings all around the United States.  She now calls Portland her home and just opened up her new office in Union Station downtown!  She has a truly unique eye and is a blast to be around.
