This versatile flower is a true rival to peonies and roses when it comes to their eye catching size and beauty. They are native to Southern Asia and are also nicknamed “buttercup.” A bouquet of ranunculus says, “I am dazzled by your charms.” They come in an array of bright and deep rich colors. Once they are cut, they can be used for up to a week which makes them prime candidates for wedding florals. What is so fun about this flower is it can be used in 2 ways for completely different looks. Ranunculus when in bud size can look so delicate next to other flowers in bloom. The 2nd look is when ranunculus are in full bloom it has a completely different feel, the many layers provide outstanding texture and grandeur.
These picture are from one of my favorite blogs, Housemartin, who will be opening up a store this year in Portland, called Ink & Peat, I can’t wait!
